Where do mini-splits make the most sense?
Spaces central AC cannot reach or serve well: garages, additions, converted porches, workshops, older houses without ducts, and rooms with chronic hot or cold problems. They are the right tool for zoned comfort.
Do mini-splits heat as well as cool?
Most modern units are heat pumps, so yes, both. For a Florida garage or addition, one head covers the whole year’s needs.
