Why is my heat pump blowing cool air in heat mode?
Could be defrost cycling, a failed reversing valve, low refrigerant, or a thermostat staging problem. Heat pump supply air also runs cooler than furnace air by design, so sometimes the answer is that nothing is wrong. Measurement settles it.
Why is the outdoor unit covered in ice?
Light frost in winter is normal and defrost clears it. A solid block of ice, in any season, means a real problem: airflow, refrigerant or a dead defrost cycle. Shut it off and call before the compressor pays the price.
Why do my breakers trip when heat kicks on?
Often the backup strips pulling hard through a weak breaker or loose lug, sometimes a failing strip element or a short. Electrical faults like this deserve same-visit attention, and they get it.
